Single-Family New Build Pre-Wire Rebate Logo
  • Single-Family New Build Pre-Wire Rebate

  • This program provides $100 rebates to customers or home-builders who install a pre-wire for EV charging in new build single-family homes ($100 per home). Eligible homes must be located within TEP’s service territory, and within jurisdictions where there is no EV pre-wire ordinance or code requirement. See additional eligibility requirements below:

    For Residential Customers

    • Customers must fill out this form and submit all required documentation within 90 days of closing on their new-build home. Electric service at the home must be in the customer’s name.
    • An eligible pre-wire is considered a dedicated 240V, 50A plug-in ready circuit with a NEMA 14-50 outlet. The outlet must be within 6 ft of a vehicle’s parking space. To be eligible, a customer must have purchased the outlet installation as an upgrade option from their new home builder prior to construction.
    • The rebate will be administered as a credit to the customer’s TEP bill. Limit one premise per customer. Rebates available while funds last. All funds must be administered by Dec. 31, 2025.

Residential applicants should be prepared to submit:

    • Documentation from your home build design documents that show you purchased an upgrade to add a NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging to your home
    • Photos of the outlet (close up and showing surroundings, so we can confirm the outlet is near a parking space)

    For Home Builders

    • Homes eligible for the rebate must be located in communities where a dedicated 240V, 50A amp plug-in ready circuit with a NEMA 14-50 outlet is included by default (as a standard) in the home’s base model. Homes where customers have purchased an upgrade to include the outlet are not eligible. The outlet must be within 6 ft of a vehicle parking space.
    • Home builders must fill out this form and submit all required documentation within 90 days after the home’s closing date.
    • By default, rebates will be administered as an ACH credit to the builder. Please allow a few weeks for processing after approval. Additional time may be required if a builder is not already on TEP’s active supplier list.
    • Builders are encouraged to batch as many homes as possible into one application. One application will be accepted per month per builder. Depending on demand, builder caps may be implemented at any time. Rebates available while funds last. All funds must be administered by Dec. 31, 2025.

Home builder applicants should be prepared to submit:

    • The sequence numbers (based on the recorded map and plat) and corresponding lot numbers of the homes to be submitted for rebates
    • Final approved plans for each unique community that show a dedicated 240V, 50A NEMA 14-50 outlet is included as a standard offering in base models (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) plans for offered floorplans)

If you have any questions regarding the form, please reach out to EVTEP@tep.com.

  • As the owner or authorized representative of the Property, I hereby authorize TEP’s employees and authorized agents (collectively the “TEP Parties”) to enter upon and into the Property to the extent requested by the TEP Parties to confirm installation of the EV pre-wire and verify my eligibility for the incentive. I understand that the TEP Parties will not inspect the installation methods used, nor the equipment and materials used, and I bear all risk associated therewith. I further understand that TEP’s determination of incentive eligibility shall not be construed as any verification that the EV pre-wire equipment was installed in a safe, code compliant and legally permissible manner. I understand an incentive will be administered only after TEP’s verification that all program requirements have been met and if program funds are available. I hereby agree to indemnify and release the TEP Parties from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses or damages whatsoever caused by products, including the EVC, installed at or in the Property and the TEP Parties’ presence at the Property except to the extent directly caused by the gross negligence of the TEP Parties.
